Why take part in the Postgraduate Education Fair Indonesia?

Participating in the Postgraduate Education Fairs in Jakarta and Surabaya offers institutions a strategic platform to engage with a burgeoning market of prospective postgraduate students. Now in its 9th consecutive year, the Jakarta fair anticipates around 2,000 attendees, including current university students and young professionals. The event’s comprehensive program features over 30 seminars, career talks, training workshops, and trial tutorial classes, providing exhibitors with ample opportunities to showcase their offerings and expertise.

Notably, only 7% of Indonesia’s workforce currently holds degrees, highlighting a significant potential for growth in higher education enrollment. Additionally, the inclusion of companies and career keynote speakers offers attendees valuable career guidance, further enhancing the fairs’ appeal. By participating, institutions can position themselves at the forefront of Indonesia’s evolving educational landscape, connecting directly with a motivated and diverse audience seeking advanced academic opportunities

Postgraduate student recruitment has taken a flight in Indonesia

Back in 2014, the British Council conducted a research to predict postgraduate student mobility in 2024 based on statistical data of international students from 23 countries and analyze the largest inbound and outbound growth markets of the next decade. Indonesia was seen as one of the prominent outbound countries. This forecast proved true. Although most Indonesian students are still studying abroad at undergraduate level, the number of outbound master and postgraduate students has almost trippled in the last 10 years. In part this is because of the Indonesian government’s greatly increased funding for the Endowment Fund.

Supported by Ministry of Education

The Postgraduate Education Fair in Jakarta and Surabaya is supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture (Mendiknas) along with a great number of embassies (Australia, Singapore etc), overseas governmental educational bodies, sponsors and partners.
