The role of parents in Thai student recruitment
With parents and high school counsellors playing a key role in Thai students’ decision making, having face to face, personal interaction with this audience in Bangkok will be a critical part of any strong recruitment strategy for the Thai market.
According to International School Consultancy Group’s (ISC) 2017 report, there are 181 international schools in Thailand, making the country the fourth highest number of English-medium private schools in Asia after China, Japan and Indonesia. In total, there were 64,928 students enrolled in international schools in Thailand.
These strong numbers signify plenty of recruitment opportunities for international secondary schools looking to forge exchange programs with Thai schools, as well as for post-secondary institutions that are interested in attracting top talent from Thailand’s English-speaking schools.
